After your LANAP, you should be able to go about your day normally with little pain and no stitches to worry about. Recovery time is much faster than traditional gum surgery, but recovery and healing time will vary from person to person.

Take any prescribed medications according to directions, and don’t do any vigorous physical activity for a few hours after the procedure. You’ll be asked to stick to a liquid diet for about 24 hours, and a soft diet (think eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, pureed soup, ice cream, etc.) for up to a week.
